The goal
Guarantee precise, standardized and reproducible initial verification, assembly and on-site verification methods — even for non-expert operators.
The solution
An Augmented Reality application was developed to guide production operators through the assembly procedure. The first stage of use was via Desktop PC, directly on the operator's workbench.
Phase 01
Component check
While working times are calculated for each phase, the operator checks the presence of the components to be assembled, with a graphic correspondence between the code table and the 3D exploded view of the parts to be assembled.
Phase 02
Guided assembly
The operator follows a 3D animation describing the assembly operations, without needing to interpret old reference technical drawings. Warnings require an OK — registered as a signature of responsibility — before proceeding.
